What a dull and most boring day it had been. It was raining. Or, there wasn't exactly any particularly bad thing about rain, it was just that the majority of people seemed to be preferring to be inside at the time, especially when it was poring as down cats and dogs. Kieran stared out the window of the common room with a "lost-boy-getting-yelled-at" expression on his face.
He was bored.
And what was there to do when one was bored? In his mind, Kieran did what he always did when he was bored and wondered what to do with his time. He thought of all the possible things he could do. Glancing around in the common room, Kieran let his imagination run wild.
He could annoy James or Sirius (even though they weren't there)
He could braid Lily's hair (even though she wasn't there either)
He could take some good photographs (even though he was out of film...)
He could run around in a pyjama (the one with ducks on)
He could run around in a pyjama with his underwear on his head (eheee?)
He could go down to the kitchens...
Kieran froze up and stared distractedly at a girl who just entered. She seemed to be freaked out by his stare and rushed up to the dormitories. Kieran grinned to himself (he hadn't meant to stare, but she'd just happed to be there as he stared at the portrait hole, and his eyes kind of just followed her without him noticing). The kitchens. Why not?
Jumping up from his seat, dressed in his muggle attire, a pair of plain black pants (with several safety-pins on) and a black and red striped sweat shirt, Kieran made his way out of the common room and down to the kitchens. Food always cheered him up, and besides, who knew who else might share his sudden urge for food? Perhaps he'd bump into someone, and Kieran loved bumping into someone.
Running the last part in his one black and one green converse shoes, Kieran found the kitchens with a huge grin on his face. A small house elf walked up to him and Kieran briefly debated with himself whether or not to try and set it free. But just as Kieran was about to ran about how much he thought the elves should be free, the door behind him opened. With a satisfied grin on his face, he turned to see whom had entered only seconds after himself. "Hi there!" Kieran greeted, as bubbly and easy going as always, forgetting all about the waiting house elf.

Tory himself had been incredibly bored with all the rain. After all, what was more fun than wandering around outside? Not that he minded being stuck inside, he just liked the choice of in our out. So he had wound up trying to find his own activity to do. With his potions homework long-since done, and overachieved, and surprisingly the rest of his homework done, Tory P had took to wandering the halls for a little while. He'd donned a mix of muggle attire and the hogwarts uniform; he wore a collared shirt beneath his hufflepuff vest, a loose hufflepuff tie was around his neck, his black fingerless gloves were, as always, on his hands. Beyond that he wore a pair of slightly tight jeans, and a pair of harlequin slip-ons.
Bored, he'd gotten the idea of making something in his head, and he couldn't get it out. It was just too much. So the baby-faced boy had come to the kitchens, hoping to commondeer a stove. The house elves had gotten used to him, and though they still always preferred that they cook for him, they still allowed Tory to do his thing down here.
Tory opened the door to the kitchens and was immidiately greeted by a familiar sound.
"Hi there!"
A mischevious grin flew to his lips as he recognized one of his best friends, "Kieran! What's up?" Secretly, he hoped that Kieran would stick around while he made the cookies--he loved making a mess of things with him.

Kieran! What's up?
As if the world had become brighter, Kieran's face lit up even more as the familiar Hufflepuff boy walked in. Same year, same humor, Kieran was sure they were meant to be together some day. Kieran grinned boyishly; by now he'd forgotten all about setting house elves free as well.
"Nothing, really. This is a bloody boring day. Rain rain rain!" Kieran complained, but if anyone knew Kieran at all, they also knew he wouldn't stop with the complaining just about yet. "I was so bored I even considered running around with my jyjama, you know, the one with the ducks on. And I was thinking of annoying James and Sirius, but I couldn't find it. And the common room was soooooo boring and I was soooo bored and everything was so booooorrrriiiiinnnnnnggggg," Kieran said, making a long dramatic effect on the last word.
"But then I came down here and then you came and yaaaay, now we can do something fun!" Kieran exclaimed happily with a go-go voice. It was really a human wonder how Kieran could managed to stay so happy all the time. He was truly a good example of a person living his life to the fullest.
"So, what brought you to the kitchens? Something special? Are you going to eat anything, cause that's what people usually do in the kitchen. Are you going to cook something, bake something?" Kieran asked, his curiosity taking over.
All the way since he was a child, Kieran had just been curious by nature, always wondering about stuff. He was more than once found wandering the woods alone with huge eyes and a big grin. Adventures. Of course, his mother hadn't been too thrilled every time her child went missing, not that Kieran had understood at the age of five...
